About

I am a field geologist and geochronologist who is an assistant professor at Purdue University, where we are currently in the process of building a TIMS U-Pb geochronology laboratory.

One of the things that has drawn me to geologic research is that most Earth processes occur on timescales that are well beyond the human experience. These great durations keep geologic research grounded in reconstructing past events through detailed observational studies complimented by laboratory experiments, quantitative models, and geochemical measurements. My research utilizes this inverse approach to quantify the rates of petrologic and tectonic processes in fossil geologic systems. This approach keeps me out in the field and engaged in a variety of analytical and computational techniques.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about my research.
